The election of SLUUG board members will be held at the upcoming general meeting on Wednesday February 11. Board members are elected by members at large. Officers are appointed by the board, but an advisory election is held for those positions.
Please refer to the SLUUG home page (www.sluug.org) for more information about candidates and voting eligibility.
The first part of the CRONicle revision offers a shorter format. You are now directed to a LUG's link for current information about meetings, locations and other information.
Several drafts of articles are in process. Anyone is welcome to submit an article pertaining to Open Source or other relevant topics.
Upcoming issues will feature a Tips and Notes section. Everyone is welcome to submit useful tools and diagnostic commands. Although all ideas are welcome, this section focuses on CLI scripts and commands that many people know and even more of us wish we could remember.
I regret the inconvenience caused by removing email links from the newsletter. The people who volunteer to keep this organization are chocking on spam. A large source of this unwanted information is sent by people who harvest our addresses from the CRONicle. Please go the the SLUUG homepage to get our email addresses.
