  IRC - There is an IRC channel (room) that is used by various St. Louis Unix Users Group (SLUUG) members.

Ongoing activity:

  • Who: All SLUUG members (including SIG members) are welcome to paricipate.
  • What: Online chat. The Internet Relay Chat, an online system of communication, is where we have interactive informal, unofficial, real-time discussions about applications and technology.
  • Where: Join channel (room) #sluug on the irc.freenode.net service hosted at http://www.freenode.net/.
  • When: Anytime, through out the day, any member might be available. Note, participants are often distracted by work.
  • Why: Electrons and band width are cheap. Information is not, but should be free.
  • How: Depends on your Operating System and the requirements of your installed IRC or IM client application software.
